  23. I went through my dir's with dir /a:h
  24. and got rid of about 3 megs of files I previously deleted
  25. Anyone know why it did this?
  26. I also found the following files in the c:\ dir:

  29. IO.SYS              34,560 Bytes
  30. MSDOS.SYS           37,394 Bytes
  31. 386SPART.PAR     8,357,888 Bytes

  33. In c:\windows I find a hidden directory
  34. with a file in it that I deleted a long time ago.
  35. But, it is not letting me delete it.  Any idea why?  The others deleted fine.

  37. After deleting the hidden files chkdsk gives my 307 bad allocation 
  38. units with 630K of space in them.
  39. Ill fix this with chkdsk /f

  41. My biggest question is about 386SPART.PAR  what is this?
  42. Is this my swap file?  I dont think it is, but I dont know much about
  43. swap files.  All I know is that they should be typically about 2 or so meg
