- I get a lot of catalogs of computer equipment. One of hallmarks of
- such catalogs is that it's virtually impossible to figure out what a
- product does from the catalog description. You can tell that someone
- who has no concept of what a user of the product might want to know
- wrote the product description.
-
- Not so for the SunExpress catalog. Well, at least some of the info is
- useful. For example, the memory section tells you exactly what kind
- and how many SIMM slots each machine has. The SBus ethernet
- controller tells you *why* the card won't work on a 600MP. I really
- hate marketing blurbs like, "the foobar supports up to 64MB of memory,
- and comes with 16MB installed." That tells me next to nothing.
-
- So if anyone out there gives feedback to the SunExpress people, tell
- them good job on the details in the memory section, and lets see more
- hard details for other products.
