- I believe that I got these names from a keyboard modification utiliity
- called "xkeycaps". The impression is that if the keyboard layout is modified
- (with what? loadkeys?) that a name string is associated with the keyboard.
- For all I know, the naming is arbitrary.

- Happily, an easier solution was put forth by Alain Brossard in article
- <1992Nov15.220237.siisun.epfl.ch>. His suggestion of modifying the default
- keytable used by OpenWindows to disable latching on the Caps_Lock key worked.
- In addition, I was able to add latching to the Control key so that both
- keys behaved normally once xmodmap was run.
