  13.     Sometimes when adjusting screen savers, playing with X windows
  14. etc I manage to hang the console - I get a background pattern, perhaps
  15. a mouse cursor but it is totally unresponsive. I can log in from
  16. another terminal but the console is hung. What can I do short of
  17. rebooting?
