- What about AT&T's Hobbit chips? My understanding is that they are also
- low-power comsumption RISC processors just like the ARM610. They are
- supposed to be the basis of the new EO machines, which sound like they
- are going to be available much sooner than the Newton.

- Of course, the EO machines are supposed to cost in the $3000-4000 range,
- as opposed to the Newton's price (under $1000?). Despite the price
- difference, I am much more enthusiastic about the EO machines. Newton
- seems to be very nearly a closed architecture. Sure they talk about their
- external developer program, but that is mostly a crock in my opinion...
