- I have the exact same problem in reverse! I would like to print
- remotely from our NeXTstation to a SparcPrinter attatched to a Sparc
- 2. I have added the appropriate printcap entry in NetInfo and added
- the hostname of the NeXT to /etc/hosts.lpd on the Sparc. When I try to
- print to the remote printer the job is queued in the local queue but I
- get a message from the Sparc "Your host does not have line printer
- access". I have spoken to the local Sun experts, but they are at a
- loss. I have also spoken with a local NeXT expert who is also at a
- loss. Note that the Sparc prints to the SparcPrinter locally without
- problems and that the Sparc is *not* running NIS. Also note that both
- machines can resolve the hostnames successfully (ie, telnet and ftp
- work fine using hostnames).
-
- What am I doing wrong?
