  11. Has anyone else had the problems I've had getting sendmail to do the  
  12. right thing? My situation is that I have a stand-alone station which is  
  13. part of a domain (mese.com) fed by a uucp link from my domain entry  
  14. point (indigo.mese.com). The problems are numerous:

  16. namely: sendmail wants all uucp paths to contain a !. This includes the  
  17. return paths (?). It took a lot of munging on the sendmail.cf file to  
  18. get it to pass a From: xxx <name@drefla.mese.com> line. The bloomin  
  19. mailhost.sendmail.cf file even expects all known machines with @ paths  
  20. to exist on the ethernet! Several rule modifications later I finally  
  21. got there but what a pain.

  23. Is there an easier way to do this (maybe with netinfo)? I can't believe  
  24. that NeXT overlooked what may well be one of the most common  
  25. configurations out there.
