  14. I am about to upgrade the internal disk on my monoslab (3.0) from a
  15. 200meg Quantum to a larger drive.  Does anyone have any experience
  16. with any of the following:

  18. Toshiba 438F, 877meg SCSI-2, 12ms access
  19. Toshiba 538F, 1gig SCSI-2, 12ms access
  20. Quantum 1.2gig SCSI-2 10ms access
  21.  
  22. Can anyone verify that any of the above do/do not work in a slab?

  24. Also, my plan is to just take out the old drive, put in the new, and
  25. do the upgrade (well, the OS installation actually) from CD-ROM.  Will
  26. the OS installation (NS3.0) format and partition the drive for me, or
  27. does the disk need to be formatted before I begin the installation?

  29. Any info anyone can/will provide is greatly appreciated; I have tons
  30. of Unix sysad experience, but am quite new to the NeXT environment
  31. (loving it so far!! :).
