- I don't necessarily see this as an "either-or" proposition. If I
- were in your position, I'd be using Telebit WorldBlazers, and
- there'd be a clear advantage in having both. For those cases
- where either would suffice (e-mail, batch file transfer), I'd
- prefer UUCP/TurboPEP's reliability and efficiency. For
- interactive use, SLIP would be the obvious choice.

- You have two particular handicaps that make SLIP impractical: a
- 2400 bps modem, and restricted dialout. There's no reason why
- you can't or shouldn't run UUCP. It may be worth buying a
- better/faster modem even with imminent ISDN availability; it
- takes a long time to transfer anything at 219 cps.
