- Thanks to all the people who told me about the -R flag in chmod.
- This applies the specified permissions change to all sub-folders of
- the selected folder (but does NOT traverse symbolic links). Exactly
- what I needed. (BTW, I was unable to RTFMan pages because the
- non-extended OS doesn't have them; when I finally get my CD-ROM
- drive, I'll have access to them).

- In 3.0, the same can be apparently be accomplished from Workspace, by
- selecting the folder, choosing cmd-4, and then picking options from
- the panel that comes up; I'll take several people's word that this
- works. For the same reason cited above, I'm still using 2.1.
