  11. this is an (unsolicited) plug for Garth Snyder's DarkForest app,
  12. available on the new NeXT Edu cd-rom.  if you haven't already bought
  13. the cd, this app alone is worth the price.

  15. Dark Forest is far and away the best tool i've seen for answering the
  16. perrenial question of "where did my disk space go"?  it walks all the
  17. files under a given directory, computing their sizes and then allowing
  18. you to browse through them and find the pigs.  you can then delete,
  19. compress, inspect, or 'make clean' them with a button-click.  sort of
  20. like doing 'du' in a shell window over and over again, but about 1000
  21. times more efficient.
