  19. Stockholm, November 17, 1992 - Xanthus International AB today announced  
  20. Questor, its spreadsheet application for the NeXTSTEP computing  
  21. environment.

  23. Aimed at everybody that has been waiting for a high quality matrix-based  
  24. spreadsheet application tailored for the NeXTSTEP environment, Questor  
  25. offers the ease-of-use of traditional spreadsheet applications combined  
  26. with the extra power offered by NeXTSTEP.

  28. For example, Questor can easily retrieve data from relational databases  
  29. like Oracle and Sybase using the Database Kit in NeXSTEP and display the  
  30. data in full color charts that can be placed in other documents and  
  31. automatically updated by the Object Linking mechanism of NeXTSTEP.

  40. spreadsheet power, Questor comes with user interface objects like buttons  
  41. and sliders as well as a powerful and easy-to-use scripting language  
  42. called QScript. These tools will allow users to customize spreadsheets to  
  43. perform very specific tasks.

  46. lets users control spreadsheets from other applications written in

  109. owned software development company that specializes in the NeXTSTEP  
  110. platform. Questor is the fourth in a series of general-purpose  
  111. productivity tools for NeXTSTEP. In May 1992, Xanthus started to ship its  
  112. first product CraftMan, the multimedia programming tool for the NeXT  
  113. computer. The second product was LaserMan, a tool for controlling Laser  
  114. Disc Players and other devices from a NeXT computer.  The third product  
  115. was SplitBuilder/Receiver, a tool for sending large files via NeXTmail.
