- Dear Jeff and others in search of the Mac Emulator,
-
- Our Mac emulator is called "Executor" (ig-zeck'-you-tor). An executor is
- one who supervises the reallocation of resources that formerly belonged
- to an individual who is now deceased. Some people pronounce Executor as
- "ex'-a-cute-or", an obsolete form of executioner; I guess our ".appl" icon
- may be reinforcing that misconception. Oh, but where would we be without
- playful ambiguity?
-
- The best place to get the demo version of Executor is
- unmvax.cs.unm.edu:pub/ardi/DEMO/Executor-DEMO4.tar
-
- The latest version of the demo is always guaranteed to be there. You
- can also get it from cs.orst.edu and sonata.cc.purdue.edu, but
- unmvax.cs.unm.edu is where new versions appear first.
-
- If you're using NeXTSTEP 3.0, make sure that you get version "4" or
- greater of the demo.
-
- For those of you with Executor on backorder, I sincerely apologize for
- the delay. We only recently started advertising Executor in NeXTWorld and
- also only recently began selling it through dealers (ask you local dealer).
- We sold so many copies in such a short time that we ran out of binders.
- We placed an order for a new run of binders many weeks ago and they're due
- in sometime this week. We thank you for your patronage if you got
- your order in early and your patience (and your patronage) if you're waiting.
