  13. I recently invested in a HP DAT drive, and it works fine, except that if I  
  14. install it anywhere other than LAST in my SCSI chain, my system wont boot.

  16. Unfortunately, I also have a HSD scanner, which since it does not have a  
  17. SCSI regeneration, MUST be last in a the chain.

  19. The errors I get are along the lines of system panics, and today when I  
  20. tried again I got:

  26. I have the following SCSI devices:
  27. 1 - Internal HD
  28. 2 - External HD
  29. 3 - CD Rom
  30. 4 - HP DAT
  31. 5 - HSD Scanner
  32.  
  33. (those are the SCSI Ids).

  35. Everything except the HSD has a second scsi-port for chaining.

  37. Should I just whinge to the supplier and tell them that the scsi interface  
  38. on the HP drive must be wonky?  Why will it work if it is the last device  
  39. (with a terminator on the second port)?
