- Yes, I have encountered that problem with JPEG also, and with bright blue
- images too. I didn't look at the .tiff, but I'll bet you used PoV
- (original poster please write me if you want to chat about it, I use it
- a lot). I gave up and now use horizontal differencing in LZW compression
- for pretty good results. Try compiling the PBMplus utilities, they work
- really well. I don't like the thought that JPEG is lossy anyway.
