- Sorry for that question, but I didn't find an answer
- in the FAQ-files (it's obviously too trivial), and I don't know
- where else to ask:
-
- Can anybody please explain what NeXTSTEP is in terms of software hierarchy.
- Is it an O/S, a GUI or something inbetween? I'm asking because I want
- to know what NS486 would mean for a PC: Certainly a new O/S. But
- _is_ NS486 the new O/S or is it just a GUI on the top of a new (WHICH?)
- O/S?
- The answer is probably not worth posting here, so just e-mail me, please,
- or give me some hint where I can find an answer.
- Thanks!
-
- Dirk.
