  11. I am involved with a research group here at the department that has the
  12. intention of porting existing C++ code from UNIX to the Mac. On the UNIX side
  13. the g++ compiler is used. The code uses a recent addition (correct me if I'm)
  14. wrong) to C++ called templates (that may have been a part of Release 3.0?).

  16. I'm under the impression that MPW C++ does not support templates, and someone
  17. recently claimed that it would not support it until MPW C++ will be Lucid's
  18. C++ compiler. The poster said that would take a while. Does anyone have more
  19. precise information about this?

  21. What about THINK C? When is Symantec expected to come out with a full fledged
  22. C++ compiler? Will the first release support templates?

  24. Someone mentioned a port of gcc for the Mac. Has anyone ported g++, or has the
  25. intention of doing so?

  27. Finally, are there other solutions than I have mentioned above available?
