  12. I would like to substitute the Finder by a server which is accessed from the
  13. network using PPC calls. I this way I would have a dedicated server which
  14. would automatically start whenever the Mac is booted, or restart whenever
  15. it quits.

  17. This works fine - allmost....

  19. I have 20Mb of Ram and if I configure my application to use e.g. 5Mb it works
  20. fine, but if I set it to 6Mb or more it cannot restart. Running the "ordinary"
  21. Finder my system consumes app. 3.8Mb.

  23. Could it be the case that the memory allocated by one session is not released
  24. before the next is started?
  25. If yes, how do I introduce a delay between the quit of the application and the
  26. automatic restart done by the system?
  27.
