- I've just picked up a client who wishes to add modem communications
- to an application. They're currently accomplishing the task with
- terminal applications and terminal scripts. They would like to cut
- out the need for the terminal program and have the communications done
- from within the application.
- I know that eventually that they should go to a remote access
- protocol, and I will be steering future work in that direction.
- However, for the time being they just want to simplify their
- current application.

- My Major question is thus:
-
- 1) Just use the serial driver, and standard modem techniques.
-
-
- 2) Use the Sys 7 CommToolbox, connection manager, file transfer
- manager etc. Probably a bit harder from what I've read
- thus far, but will make the migration to true networking
- easier down the road.
-
-
- 3) A Third alternative.
