- A couple of days ago I posted this in comp.sys.mac.apps, and so far have
- not received any responses.

- MacWarehouse has one package, Shopkeeper. I don't think it is going to do
- what we need.
-
- Today I called the National Software Database (free, 704-255-8259, 2400
- baud) to see what they had listed. Under the keyword "Inventory," they
- had _257_ commercial packages available. Only _one_ is for the Mac,
- "POS-IM." It costs $1,795 to to $2,495 from Ensign Systems, 801-546-6490.
-
- For informative purposes, here are the last 10 listings from NSD. They
- seem to be representative:
- 248) VEHICLE DEALERS IBM, ALTOS
- 249) VENDOR PRODUCT NUMBER IBM
- 250) WAREHOUSE COMMAND IBM RT
- 251) WAREHOUSING IBM COMPATIBLES, ALTOS
- 252) WHL DISTRIBUTION IBM RT, PS/2
- 253) WHOLESALE DISTRIBUT. SYS. IBM RT, PS/2
- 254) WIN-LINE IBM AT, 386, OR COMPATIBLE
- 255) WISE V3.6 IBM PS/2 MODEL 60 OR LARGER
- 256) WRIGHT WORKS IBM PS/2 MODEL 60 OR LARGER
- 257) WSL DISTRIBUTION IBM, AT&T3B2, CRDS, NCR

- Now, there is bound to be a substantial market here for a software writer
- or company. And if you come up with a product, let us know...we really
- need something! We are interested in keeping inventory low, yet adequate,
- to save money, and we can afford to buy appropriate software.
