  12. The problem is quite real, and not System 7 specific.  Appletalk
  13. disables interrupts while it gets the packets, and doesn't service the
  14. modem port in the copious free time it has (if a Mac 512 has no free
  15. time to do it, a Q700 ought to have plenty--HEY APPLE!!!!!!! FIX IT!)

  17. So, if during the time Appletalk is getting the packets, more than 3
  18. characters come in on the modem port.... whammo, hardware overrun.
