  29. If you can ftp, then get a hold of min-system-installer-10.hqx off of
  30. sumex. It is in info-mac/util directory. I believe it should do the
  31. trick of reducing your minimum system by 300-600K. You need not have
  32. the finder installed on the floppy. But rename the application you need
  33. to run 'Finder" and the system will automatically run it on startup
  34. (thinking that it is the finder!!).

  36. I myself have not used min-system-installer-10.hqx yet. I simply followed
  37. the instructions in sys7-emergency-disk.txt, which tell you what resources
  38. you can delete from the system file. I did this for 7.0.1. and now have a
  39. Disinfectant emergency disk. Works fine! I plan to use the min-system-
  40. installer-10.hqx program, if and when I get 7.1, which it apparently works 
  41. with. You can find the sys7-emergency-disk.txt file also at sumex in 
  42. info-mac/report. I recommend getting it - it has some useful tips.
