  17. The answer to that depends on the intended meaning 
  18. of your wording.

  20. Put plainly, you can put 8MB on the motherboard.
  21.  
  22. If your machine came with 2MB, you can add 6MB.
  23.  
  24. If your machine came with 4MB, you can add 4MB.
  25.  
  26. Note: You CAN mix a 2MB + 4MB SIMM for a total of 6MB.
