- The 70s that first rolled of the assembly line were 16MHz.
- I have a one of the early P70s (portable) and it runs at 16MHz.
- The only way to tell is to open it up and look.

- Can't really help here except to say that I had keyboard problems
- with my P70 and IBM replaced the motherboard and the keyboard after
- I made a pretty big stink. The technician who replaced the MB said
- the quality of the original MB (in my case) was pretty lousy.
- Apparently, there was a significant number of jumper wires thrown
- in at the last minute. Other than an occasional boot error reported
- on the serial port, it runs OK.

- My VGA isn't terribly 'speedy' either but I've chosen to live with it
- more because mine is a portable with the built in gas plasma display.
- I'd investigate an MCA SVGA card if you really want increased video speed.
- The new XGA-2 card is supposed to be pretty nice. At least thats whats
- being passed around on the net.
-
- Hop this helps.
