- Dear Net,
-
- I have a PS/2 Model 50 (one of the earliest ones, bought in
- April 1987). It came with 1 MByte of memory. I want to upgrade to at
- least 4 MBytes. I noticed there appear to be two SIMMs on the
- motherboard which make up the current 1 MByte. Can these SIMMs be
- replaced with 2 MByte SIMMs (and thus give me the 4 MBytes I want)?
- If so, can someone give me a technical description (e.g. part number)
- for the SIMMs I should buy? If not, what is the easiest and most
- economical way for me to upgrade to 4 MBytes?
-
- If this is a frequently asked question, just point me to the
- FAQ archive site. Please respond via email to me directly (if there
- is sufficient interest I'll post a summary of responses to the net).
