  20. I would suspect that the JPEG compression in Superstor 3.0 is probably
  21. a separate utility, rather than built in to Superstor. JPEG image
  22. compression is very computation intensive. I doubt that it is even on
  23. the same order of magnitude of the Lempel-Ziv algorithms that Superstor
  24. and Stacker use for realtime data compression.

  26. From what I understand JPEG also uses some lossless compression
  27. techniques and that if you want to you can use it without losing any
  28. image quality, if you don't mind not getting as much image compression.
