- I ran into a problem today, upgrading a machine to MS-DOS 5.0.
- AutoCad v11 ran fairly quick on the system with MS-DOS v4.01
- installed - upgrading to DOS 5.0 caused a tremendous slowdown
- in performance (about ten minutes before the acad menu finally
- showed up).
-
- What's the hitch? The were no changes in the config.sys or
- autoexec.bat files aside from the usual additions of the
- SETVER.EXE and other, DOS 5 device statements. I am versed
- in configuring DOS (maintained 597K in conventional mem after
- the upgrade), and maintained the same SET= commands for
- acad.
