  12. I ran into a problem today, upgrading a machine to MS-DOS 5.0.
  13. AutoCad v11 ran fairly quick on the system with MS-DOS v4.01
  14. installed - upgrading to DOS 5.0 caused a tremendous slowdown
  15. in performance (about ten minutes before the acad menu finally
  16. showed up).

  18. What's the hitch? The were no changes in the config.sys or
  19. autoexec.bat files aside from the usual additions of the
  20. SETVER.EXE and other, DOS 5 device statements. I am versed
  21. in configuring DOS (maintained 597K in conventional mem after
  22. the upgrade), and maintained the same SET= commands for
  23. acad.
