- Hallo, everyone:
- I want to make a really simple MIDI interface for my 386. I've read
- of someone back in '87 using something like a Motorola 68705
- for non-pc-interfaced projects. I have a couple of HC11's sitting around.
- All I want, basically is a card that fits in the bus (or even
- just interfaces to the parallel port), that will take a byte from
- the PC and translate it to MIDI's serial 31.25 KBaud.
- The HC11's can do this via their SCI port. I tried to scope
- a MIDI signal since I have no documentation (also I am
- new at this) and I don't quite understand the electricals of
- the signal. Can anyone clue me in on this?
-
- thanks
