  18. According to my TVGA 8900 manual:

  20. SW3 configures scan rates for extended VGA modes.
  21. Ie, if the jumper is open, then you get the higher scan rate of 48.7kHz.
  22. Basically, this gives you non-interlaced operation.
  23. You can only use this if your monitor is capable of handling this.

  25. I don't know what OSC1 is for - there is nothing like this mentioned
  26. in the manual.

  28. The only switches that are mentioned are:
  29.   Jumper J6  - Monitor detection
  30.   Jumper J1  - IRQ9 control
  31.   Jumper SW3 - see above
  32.   Jumper SW4 - BIOS autodetect
