  19. I've owned a couple tseng boards and a 24x, I can say that the 24x
  20. is faster than the orchid prodesigner2s, and slower than the
  21. genoa7900 in dos, but the range is only about 15%, however lots of
  22. dos software that can use high speed graphics (animation packages)
  23. don't yet have drivers for the 24x.  While the 24x draws quickly
  24. in windows, screen writes which don't use the accel functions
  25. (like moving a big 24bit TGA inside a graphics package that's bigger
  26. than the screen size) don't seem to benefit from bitblt, even though
  27. for example I move a picture by slide bars, but half the picture is
  28. merely moved across the screen, whereas moving a whole window is
  29. fast seems to defeat the point of upgrading for me; I work with
  30. picture publisher in full screen, I slide a scroll bar and the Genoa
  31. is just as fast as the 24x...
