- I'm trying to resurrect a stripped-out GRiD 386DX/16 without a manual or
- any other clue. Of the original system, I have only the case, PS,
- passive MB, processor and memory. No video card, no keyboard, no
- manual.
-
- At power-up with a monochrome board installed I get low-pitched beep
- code as follows: 1-3-3, pitch and duration seem constant. The monitor
- never displays even a hardware cursor.
-
- Same code reports with mono board removed.
-
- I do not see any switches on the motherboard, but there are many
- jumpers.
-
- If you have data for this system, could you e-mail the jumper settings
- please? Also, if you know what that code means, I'd like to know.
-
- Can anyone tell me if the tiny keyboard jack is standard? Could I use
- an adaptor (PC to PS/2) to connect a keyboard?
-
- Also, could this BIOS be password-protected? If so, what do I do to
- reset the CMOS?
-
- Any hints about dealing with GRiD would also be welcome.
-
- Thanks for reading my request and for any help yoou can give.
