- I have just finished reading the new(?) ZEOS ad in the December PC/Computing
- for their upgradeable computers and I have some questions.
-
- What kind of SIMMS do they use? The ad mentions 36-bit memory, which
- sounds proprietary, but I looked in the back of the mag. and didn't
- see anyone selling "ZEOS" memory.
-
- What chipset does the local-bus VGA have?
-
- What kind of cache does ZEOS offer? It is expensive, so I figure it
- isn't your everyday 25ns write through cache. Maybe 4-way set
- associative?
-
- About the MS-DOS, WIndows v3.1, Lotus apps, and MS-Mouse, does ZEOS just
- ship you the software on the hd, and the mouse, or do they ship you
- shrinkwrapped boxes. (ie-doc's, ability to register the products)
-
- What kind of hd/fd controller does it use for the IDE hd? Just a generic
- 16-bit card?
-
- Is the 2s/1p I/O ports on a card or on the motherboard? Is a 16550AFN on
- the machine, or easy to add?
-
- Does ZEOS offer other case options besides the desktop and large tower?
-
- I have some more questions on pricing and prices too, but I'll wait.
-
- I have tried calling, but was put on hold for about 30 minutes! I figure
- since I've seen ZEOS people here my questions might get answered.
-
- Thanks.
