- (i) I want to replace the power supply in my computer because it makes
- huge amounts of noise. I plan to buy one of the "Silencer" units
- from PC Power and Cooling, but I don't know how powerful a unit to
- buy. The one in my system is an (I think) absurdly powerful 450
- watts, and the quite units seem to go only to 270 watts. Will 270
- watts be enough? I have a SCSI drive, CD-ROM, '486 motherboard.
-
- (ii) Anyone know if I can run a floptical drive from my (Adaptec 1542b)
- SCSI controller? Does the drive come with an ASPI module or would I
- have to find one somewhere else?
-
- Thanks for any help.
