  11. Has anyone else experienced a problem with the Adaptec 1542B hanging
  12. under Windows?  I've checked for DMA and IRQ conflicts, and there just
  13. aren't any.  The board works fine when I first boot up, but as soon as I
  14. get into Windows, and after I leave Windows, any attempt to access the
  15. SCSI bus hangs the software that attempts it.

  17. I boot from an IDE card, and I disabled the Adaptec's BIOS.  In
  18. addition, I excluded the BIOS in both EMM386 and using the EMMExclude
  19. command in SYSTEM.INI (just to absolutely rule out the possibility that
  20. Windows was using a memory address that the BIOS wanted available for
  21. its own use).

  23. Any theories on possible causes for this problem?
