- Has anyone else experienced a problem with the Adaptec 1542B hanging
- under Windows? I've checked for DMA and IRQ conflicts, and there just
- aren't any. The board works fine when I first boot up, but as soon as I
- get into Windows, and after I leave Windows, any attempt to access the
- SCSI bus hangs the software that attempts it.
-
- I boot from an IDE card, and I disabled the Adaptec's BIOS. In
- addition, I excluded the BIOS in both EMM386 and using the EMMExclude
- command in SYSTEM.INI (just to absolutely rule out the possibility that
- Windows was using a memory address that the BIOS wanted available for
- its own use).
-
- Any theories on possible causes for this problem?
-
