I have a PAS-16 card with SONY SS-M1600 (or something like that) 3-way
speakers. (60W/6 Ohm), so you can even plug them on quitea a nice amplifier if you want. tought PAS-16 has 2*4W amp, which seems to be quite enough for me.
The price was about 100 USD, which I think is not too much for these speakers.
These speakers are not "computer-specific", but it makes no difference if
there is more than ...10 cm between monitor and the speaker.
