- The VL-bus limits you to three devices -- fewer if your bus loads are
- high. The "2 IDE controllers" on the motherboard is probably a single
- IDE interface which allows two drives. Since it's on the motherboard
- its bus loading (impedence and reflection) is fixed (and likely
- small). Deleting it may not allow an extra VL-bus slot.

- BTW, actually having two seperate IDE interfaces would be a good idea,
- but it's not done because most people run single-tasking MS-DOS which
- couldn't make use of it.
