- Maybe, this could help.

- Run your setup for your PC (either on a diskette or a ROM setup
- routine). If it is a IBM PC or XT, there might be some switches you
- need to set. Check that you have specify the correct drive type for
- your hard disk. This might not be easy without documentation for the
- harddisk. Reboot the PC.

- If the above is successful, ie you can now access the hard disk,
- carry on with your FDISK to partition your hard disk. Then FORMAT
- the partition/partitions created to weed out any bad sectors.
