- Hi. I am trying to design a small device that will interface to
- a parrallel I/O port. I have a few things that I need to know, though.
-
- 1. What is the address of the port, or how is it determined?
- This is needed for the driver software.
-
- 2. How is the port triggered?
- I need to signel the device to latch the data.
-
- 3. How is the data bus connected to the port?
-
-
- Essentailly, what I am trying to do is hook an A/D converter to the port
- and read it into memory. I know this is avilable for purchase, but I am
- building it for the experience. I know how uProcessors work, so all I need to
- know is hardware configuration for connecting control lines.
- Thanks.
