- My friend just got one of these GW2000 486-DX2/60's. What a hot
- machine! Massively better video performance than even my GW2000
- 486-DX2/50.
-
- Unfortunately, it didn't take me much time to figure out that the
- distribution Mach32 drivers he was using SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!!! So my
- guess is that it's the driver's fault. For the time being, I set him
- back to a standard VGA driver. Change to the vanilla VGA driver under
- Windows Setup under Control Panel under Main and see what happens.
- Performance might not be that great with this driver but it seemed
- stable to me.
-
- This brings up the question: WHAT'S THE POINT OF THESE MACH32 DRIVERS
- ANYWAY?!? Didn't I read on this group (in just the last day or so)
- that someone has uploaded working ones to somewhere. I'm gonna go
- check cica but in the meantime, but please e-mail me if you've
- written, or know of, reliable drivers that take advantage of this
- card's capabilities.
