- Hi,
-
- I have decided to junk my old 8088 and am planning on buying a 486-33. I have
- been looking over several companies and have narrowed the field down to 5. My
- problem is deciding which company to buy from. I don't want to get a computer
- from some mail order Neanderthal and end up with more hassles than I need. I
- have done that before with stereo equipment and it took almost a year to get the
- problems resolved.
-
- The computer companies that I am interested in are:
- Compu.Sys Information Network
- Centrix Computer
- Comtrade
- Standard Computer
- EPS Technologies
-
- I would appreciate any comments on these companies, positive or negative. If
- you feel that I have neglected a computer company that is worth buying from, I
- am also interested in your comments. Replies by either e-mail or on this
- newsgroup are fine.
-
- (This seems to be a common request. Perhaps we need a new newsgroup:
- comp.sys.ibm.pc.mail.order.companies)
-
- Thanks
