- HELP! I keep losing my time/date info!
- This happens at an astronomical rate even when the computer is on!
- I have tried to attach an external battery pack because I thought
- it was just the battery dying but that's not the case.
- I do not have any problems losing any other CMOS data..
- And even when the computer is turned on, The clock seems to be running
- backward! I checked it with "Checkit" right after resetting the time/date
- It passed the test. I ate dinner and checked it agian (never turning off
- the computer or even exiting "Checkit". It was off by an hour!
- If I turn the systemoff for a night, the time/date info is reset to
- Jan 1 1980, 00:00:00. I am very frustrated... and I KNOW it's no tjust
- a battery problem.... Is there a clock chip or something that has gone
- bad?? Somebody Please Help!!!
