- I - and a lot of people I know - have problems with the Soundblaster Pro 2,
- the one with the 4 operator FM sound chip, and my 486 OPTi WBSX ISA motherboard
- When playing music through the FM channel sometimes some voices are left on,
- sometimes random noises are heard through the speakers. The only thing able to
- stop the noise seems to be lowering the FM volume to zero or resetting the
- machine. I have heard that this is a problem with the OPTi motherboard oscilla
- tor: it's badly designed and interferes with the FM chip.. Do you know if this
- is true ? Is there any way to overcome this situation ? Do you also know if
- the new Sound Blaster 16 card exhibits this problem too ??
