- I have had no bad experiences with IslandWrite on my HP 730 with
- HPUX 8.09 -- in particular it has never locked up or crashed or had
- mouse problems or bad font rendering. The menu structure of
- FrameMaker was much harder for me to learn than that of IslandWrite.
- There is a very minor window sizing problem with the toolpallette of
- IslandDraw on my system, but it appears to be a problem with the way
- my system Xresources are setup and it has been minor enough that I
- haven't spent much time trying to figure out which resource I need to
- tweak.
-
- Island Write is just fine. It doesn't have all the features of
- FrameMaker but it is faster and much cheaper. It all depends on what
- you need.
