  11. The other switchbank (4 dip switches) sets the HP-IB address.  The three ones
  12. marked (?) 4, 2, 1 correspond to those powers of 2.  The fourth one should
  13. be left alone, in the "off" position... or was it in the "on" position!?
  14. It probably does something Entirely Undocumented (say, swapping the bytes of
  15. every 13th block when there's an R in the month :-)

  17. Don't throw that drive away --- I keep two attached to my HP workstations
  18. for reading and writing PC and Macintosh compatible disks, with the HP
  19. standard futilities doscp, dosls, and their ilk.  Also works nicely for
  20. Macintosh using HP's stock tar and suntar on the Mac.
