- We just installed a pre-release version of HP-UX 9.0 for our Series
- 720s (it's a release dated sometime in August). When the FCS version
- comes out we'll upgrade to that (BTW, anyone have the inside info on
- the 11th-hour bug that's holding up 9.0 FCS?).
-
- Can applications built under 8.07 run under 9.0 without needing
- relinking or recompilation? I recall that for the 7.0 to 8.0 upgrade
- on the Series 300/400 you had the choice of recompiling the entire
- application or running the 7.0 executable under 8.0, but you
- absolutely were not supposed to relink 7.0 object files under 8.0.
- Are there any such restrictions for the 8.07 vs 9.0?
