- In loading HP-UX, there is a screen for configuring the hard drive.
- Since we've installed a 1GB Micropolis 2112, there isn't a disktab
- entry supplied by HP. We're wondering what values to put into the
- following four fields:
-
- 1024 byte sectors per track [ ]
- Tracks per cylinder [ ]
- RPM [ ]
- Interleave factor [ ]
-
- Some things we've gotten from Micropolis have given us hints for
- the second and third, but we're stuck as to what to put for "sectors
- per track." From what we can tell, the 2112 has a "variable" # of sectors
- per track, and the tracks are 512 bytes, not 1024. Anyone have the
- right number for this entry?
-
- Anyone else installed one of these drives yet?
