  13. environment: an HP 9000/710, 48mb, HP-UX 8.07a
  14.                a Tektronix XP338 xterminal, served by the HP.

  16. when one certain user logs in (with csh as his default), he doesn't get the 
  17.  xload plot on his window manager bar. Everything else (xclock, etc.) seem ok.
  18.   Other users logging on thru the same Xterminal do get xload.

  20. he did -not- have a custom  vuewmrc file (he does now, no improvement).
  21. his current/errorlog file gave no hints (at least that looked understandable).
  22. his startup screen includes an xterm.
  23. he -can- run xload as an application (private window appears).
