  12. I found that rename(file1, file2) was overwriting some of my global vars
  13. when file1 did not exist. A simple test on the existence of file1 solved the
  14. problem. However, rename should never overwrite anything. I noticed that
  15. my global vars contained after the rename function the string:
  16. `file1' not existent (ut4) using xunlink.

  18. Hopefully this has been fixed in 9.0. Or does this bug report causes 9.0
  19. to be delayed for another week -:).
