  24. I see nothing blatantly commercial about ranking the performance
  25. of the workstations available on the market today, especially if done
  26. by a non-financially-involved third party.  This sort of ranking is
  27. frequently posted to the net, but usually not in such a comprehensive
  28. listing.  (You did mean _all_ current workstations, and not just
  29. HP, right?)

  31. An appropriate forum for such a ranking might be comp.benchmarks,
  32. where such things have been posted in the past.  Just be prepared to
  33. get e-mail telling you how meaningless the performance ratings (MIPS,
  34. SPECint92, etc.) are.
