- I know, IL's been obsolete fer some time ... no `I told u so' mail please! :)
-
- Just gotten a used HP82164A HPIL<->RS232 interface, with the intention of
- storing/editing my 41CX programs on a latop (9-pin serial port). I only
- have the IL module and the Auto Start/Dup ROM. No extended IL ROM though...
- So, with the above setp-up, I have a few question for them 41 gurus in netland:
-
- - is all 232 lines required? or could I just use XON/XOFF?
- - Any progs for BOTH the 41CX and a MSDOS machine to do simple
- data transfer? ... I know there's the commercially available
- PC prog LINK Plus .. but It has to us a IL Card, I belive.
-
- Well, if it ends up that I'll need the ext IL ROM, anyone has one and willin'
- to trade (for $)?
-
- I'm still pouring through whatever little there is in the documentation;
- it's a real kludge, imho. The next step I'd like to try is to have a
- 41<->48 link .. just for kicks! (and of course the prog exercise & prog Xfer for
- the CV emulator card .. don't have the IR module for the 41!)
-
- Any help/pointers/progs are greatly appreciated!
